Puente Course Syllabi
Below, we have our Puente Course Syllabi, which cover our various class procedures, as well as our Bridge Mastery requirements.
A1
A1 introduces students to foundational English. The focus is on understanding simple grammar and developing short, practical phrases to communicate. It is broken down into 11 units. Each unit is 2-5 hours long, and the course in its entirety is 40 hours long. This class is taught in a mix of English and Spanish.
B2
B2 covers more complex intermediate topics, including education and news. It also covers Second Conditional tense and complex sentence connectors. This class is taught primarily in English, with questions answered in Spanish when needed.
A2
A2 is a beginner course, designed to further build upon the foundations taught in A1. It covers topics including Past Simple and Future tenses. This class is taught in a mix of English and Spanish.
C1
C1 is an advanced English course. Held entirely in English, this course involves academic discussion, as well as long-form writing assignments.
B1
B1 is an intermediate course. It covers more complex vocabulary, as well as Present Perfect and Past Continuous tenses. This class is taught primarily in English, with some explanations in Spanish.
C2
C2 is our most advanced class. This is an essay class, focused on full fluency. This course is ideal for fluent English speakers looking to take their English to the next level.
